RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – October 30, 2015: Lenovo today announced the kickoff of the #LenovoSalutesprogram benefiting the United Service Organizations (USO). The program, in support of the NFL’s Salute to Servicecampaign, aims to celebrate and encourage military appreciation while supporting the USO through significant Lenovo technology donations. Several NFL players have pledged their support to the #LenovoSalutes program, including Odell Beckham Jr (New York Giants), Jamaal Charles (Kansas City Chiefs), Eric Decker (New York Jets), Matt Forte (Chicago Bears), Pierre Garçon (Washington Redskins), Eddie Lacy (Green Bay Packers), DeMarco Murray (Philadelphia Eagles) and Demaryius Thomas (Denver Broncos).

During the month of November, Lenovo fans are invited to share a personal tribute to military personnel on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using #LenovoSalutes. Each post containing #LenovoSalutes will be counted as a “salute” for a USO center.

As part of the program, the USO center that receives the most social “salutes” will be awarded with a Lenovo technology donation. Participants can track their favorite team’s progress throughout the month on the #LenovoSalutes website.

The winning product donation may include Lenovo laptops, tablets, all-in-one desktops, and servers. The Lenovo products will allow troops and military families who visit the winning USO center to connect with loved ones online, apply for jobs, check email or even watch a movie. Through more than 160 locations worldwide, the USO provides programs, entertainment and services to our nation’s military community. In 2014, USO centers were visited more than seven million times by troops and their families.

The NFL’s Salute to Service campaign, now in its fifth year, unifies the collective work of all 32 NFL teams in an effort to honor U.S. troops and veterans. The NFL provides this support by conducting base visits and hosting members of the military community at training camps and games.

In addition to the #LenovoSalutes program, Lenovo’s military support extends to several other initiatives with USO and beyond, including U.S. Veterans Corps, Operation: Coming Home, and Hiring America.
