HONG KONG, August 17, 2006 – Lenovo Group today announced the addition of two executives to Lenovo’s Asia Pacific management team. David D. Miller, 42, is joining Lenovo as president of Asia Pacific and senior vice president of Lenovo, effective immediately. He will have responsibility for all of Lenovo’s customer-facing business in the Asia Pacific region, including sales, marketing, operations, and service and support. Mr. Miller will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Lenovo CEO William J. Amelio.

Mr. Miller most recently served as president of Dell China. He also spent several years as head of Dell Australia. Prior to joining Dell in 2000, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Wyle Electronics, most recently as vice president, Sales.
Sotaro Amano, 38, has been named president of Lenovo Japan Ltd., effective September 1, 2006. He will report to David Miller, the new president of Lenovo Asia Pacific. Mr. Amano was most recently corporate director, Japan Home & Business Sales, for Dell and managing director of Dell Miyazaki Customer Center. His career at Dell has included positions in sales, marketing and services. He will be based in Tokyo, Japan.
Mr. Miller succeeds Ravi Marwaha, 64. Mr. Amano succeeds Hiroyuki Mukai, 54. Mr. Marwaha and Mr. Mukai will both work closely with their successors, ensuring a smooth transition for customers and employees, before taking on new missions.
