IBM Personal Computing Division Names Enzweiler, Mungall to Lead Channels

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., March 1, 2005 – IBM’s Personal Computing Division today announced two key executive appointments in its worldwide business partner sales and channels organization. Mark A. Enzweiler was named vice president for its worldwide business partner sales, and will continue in this role in the new Lenovo company. Stephen Mungall was named to continue his role at Lenovo as vice president, U.S. distribution and reseller sales.

“Business partners are a key component in helping the new Lenovo to become a truly global brand and a new force in the worldwide market for personal computing products,” Enzweiler said. “I look forward to working with our partners and value their help in guiding the new Lenovo’s success.” Business partners are IBM’s most valued and primary route to market in personal computing solutions, and they will continue in this role at Lenovo. The transaction between IBM and Lenovo is expected to be completed in the second quarter.

Enzweiler was previously IBM general manager of the Global Chemicals and Petroleum Industry, where he was responsible for overall solutions in hardware, software and services. Enzweiler has more than 20 years of experience at IBM, including executive experience in personal systems, where he served as general manager, Europe-Middle East-Africa; vice president, North American sales; general manager, Latin America; and director, worldwide sales, solutions and support.

Mungall has 17 years experience with IBM, previously serving in personal systems as director of channel sales, client executive, and manager of federal channel sales.

Enzweiler will report to Ravi Marwaha, vice president, worldwide sales, IBM Personal Computing Division. Mungall will report to Scott Smith, vice president, IBM Americas sales and distribution.
