In a recent Bloomberg discussion, Lenovo CFO Winston Cheng shared his perspectives on the current stage of AI growth, noted that while AI remains in an early phase of its evolution, demand is accelerating rapidly across both devices and infrastructure. The conversation also explored opportunities on the server and device fronts, where companies are balancing massive AI investment against the geopolitical considerations and supply chain complexities.
On supply chain resilience, Winston highlighted how Lenovo’s diversified global footprint has enabled the company to successfully weather disruptions caused by geopolitical uncertainties. “We can currently supply to the broader region through other supply chains as we’re diversified across all five major continents across all our products in terms of desktops, PCs, mobile phones and servers.” This strategy has helped buffer and mitigate risks, and ensure continuity in the complex global environment.
